If I were to discover an invention that could help millions immediately or help me achieve wealth in three months I would act immediately and help millions. In today's context, this machine could be used to help millions who are impoverished and those who were effected by the earthquake in Haiti. This machine could be utilized to make everyone's lives better by healing the pain immediately. If I were to take this machine back in time, though, it would be an actual machine that we have now, not some science-fiction almost magical machine. This machine would help the developing civilizations to rapidly specialize and develop other aspects of their culture than they had done as we know it. While animals did make farming much easier, this invention could work even faster and more efficient than even the strongest of animals. Only a few people would be needed to run an entire farm and the civilization would be able to grow and flourish more than was ever dreamed possible.
