Romans

Romans loved to read about their history and created large libraries pertaining to these subjects.
Rome started off as little more than a village on a hill but it will make a climactic change and erupt into a great and powerful civilization.

Aeneas- The last surviving warrior of Troy from the Trojan Wars. He takes his people to Italy.
Dido- The Queen of Carthage, where Aeneas first stopped. They fall in love but the gods do not allow it. Aeneas leaves for Italy and Dido commits suicide.
Latium- Aenaes fights a great war with these people and is victorious.
Italy at the time is fractured into many areas.
After the war the Trojans set up a town named Alba Longa an becomes the capital city of Rome.

Romulus and Remus were abandoned at birth and kept alive by a she-wolf in the forest. They grew up and had a bit of a sibling rivalry going so far as to declare war on one another. Romulus wins and leaves his brother for dead. Romulus founds a city and names it after himself, Rome.

Etruscan civilization was north of Rome. Etruscan kings rule the city of Rome for generations. In the sixth century there is Tarquin, the Proud and has a son Tarquin the Sixth. Tarquin the Sixth rapes Lucretia. Lucretia kills herself.
Lucius Junius Brutus was a shy man with trouble talking to people. After Lucretia's suicide he revolts against Etruscan kings and ends their rule on Rome.
Patricians get to rule over Rome and make laws and take care of government. Plebeians are everyone else. Plebeians get fed up with the Patricians and want to start a civil war. The plebeians receive one seat on the Senate called the Tribune of the Plebs. He is the only Senator to have veto rights. He can be kicked out by the plebeians though so he keeps their best interests at hand. Now that they have avoided civil war they go to war with everyone else.

Rome marches to Italy to conquer and then set up a primitive government with tax collections. They would also recruit young males from the conquered cities.They never meet too much resistance before or after a battle .

A king from the coast of Greece by the name of Pyrrhus of Epirus. He is curious about the new contender Rome. He travels to Roman cities and conquers every battle they fight and take the cities but they cannot win the war. They have suffered losses throughout the war and cannot defeat the Romans for good. Rome suddenly becomes known for defeating a great army.

Punic Wars
264 BC- On Sardinia Rome enters the islands to defend from Carthage.
