Lincoln and Pericles

Thesis:         

      Even though the speeches of Lincoln and Pericles are separate from each other they do share a certain link between them.

Leading up:        

     The Gettysburg address was made during the time of a great Civil War in the United States of America. Lincoln wanted to free the slaves, end the war, and bring the United States to greatness. Pericles gave his speech in order to help Athens to prosper.
