Cluniac Reform

File:Dehio 212 Cluny.jpg
The Cuniac Reforms were a series of reforms in the areas of France, England, Italy, and Spain. These reforms were carried out by Saint Odo. These reforms aimed to help the restoration of monastic life, promoting creativity, and nurturing the poor and vulnerable. With the establishment of this new way of life also came new forms of architecture. Throughout the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth centuries there was a series of three churches each named, in chronological order, Cluny I, Cluny II, and Cluny III. The completion of Cluny III marked it as the largest building in Europe at the time.
