He moved to Florence with his father when Leonardo was 12 years old.
Leonardo apprenticed in the workshop of Verrocchio.
Leonardo kept notebooks in which he put all of his thoughts and ideas. In these journals Leonardo wrote about perspective among other subjects. Leonardo wanted to protect his work with a code; he wrote everything as if it were seen in a mirror.
